Friendship Manifesto

1) never walk away from this relationship

2) atleast one sms a day unless prior information is given. In case of major glitches then a mail should be sent

3) misunderstandings should be talked out with in 3 days. None should disagree an open dialogs.

4) major changes like marriage, work place should be seriously discussed. No kidding

5) no calling up names or pulling up comparisons. Treat each individual as a original

6) no suicide discussion

7) let others have 6 hours of straight sleep

8) no drugs

9) no sarcasm

10)always be there when it matters

11) no workplace / salary discussions unless explicitly asked for. That includes disparaging comments on our work places. And officials insignia like I'd cards not to be flashed.

12) let bygones be bygones. This is sensitive. If someone disapproves of others from our past, other person should refrain from getting in touch either at professional or personal front. This is unconditional. Includes networking social/professional.

13) none should be judged from status messages, Tweets, FB posts. In such cases we better discuss it out. And no one shud be barred from sites like twitter and linkedIn

14) if a relationship is going rough, if need be we shud take a professional help like that of a psychiatrist

15) should spend atleast 4 hours per week in person

16) parents, kids, siblings. Should not be dragged into discussion and berated

17) if it makes happy one should give free vent to their ire. But that shouldn't happen in public areas

18) gross generalizations concerning religion, gender, community should be avoided and sense of tolerance and secularism should be encouraged.

19) every attempt should be made to keep things good like jan 2009. That sense of awe, respect and unmollified interest should be maintained

20) in case of deadlock, outcome on trivia like who pays etc., must be decided by flipping a coin
